Twenty-five years of technology, pointed at the house you live in

Chaconia IT Solutions is a locally owned technology company based in Pearland, Texas, serving Greater Houston and the surrounding areas.

We spent most of our first two decades on the work that keeps businesses running — custom software, integrations, networks, point-of-sale, cyber security, analytics. Retail, restaurants, healthcare, automotive. The kind of projects where nobody notices you until something breaks.

That work has not gone anywhere, and we still take it on. But something changed in the last few years that we could not ignore. For the first time, the technology that lets a system understand an ordinary human sentence became cheap enough and small enough to run on a box in somebody's utility room. Not in a data centre. In the house.

That is a genuinely new thing, and it lands squarely in the middle of everything we already knew how to do: networks, integration, software, security, and sitting down with somebody who does not work in technology and explaining what they are buying. So we pointed the company at it.

We now spend most of our time building AI-powered smart home systems for families across the Houston area — and we do it in a particular way. The reasoning runs on hardware you own. The house keeps working when the internet doesn't. And every switch on the wall still does the obvious thing, because a system that only works for the person who commissioned it is not a system, it's a hobby.

Ownership

Locally owned and run

Helping you grow with technology — which has been the line under our name since the start, and still describes the job better than anything we have come up with since.

How we work

Five commitments. They are not slogans; each one is something we have watched go wrong elsewhere.

01

Plain language, always

If you cannot explain to your neighbour what you bought and why, we have not finished. Jargon in a quote usually means somebody is hiding the shape of the thing.

02

Your hardware, your data

We build so that you own what is in your house and control what leaves it. That means open standards, local processing, and no arrangement where your lights depend on our continued existence.

03

Reuse before replace

We would rather work with the wiring and devices you already have. When something genuinely has to be replaced we show you why, and you decide.

04

The whole household counts

The person who did not ask for any of this has to find it easy. We design for them, train with them present, and treat their complaints as bugs rather than as user error.

05

Reachable afterwards

A local number, answered by people who worked on your system. Most of what clients tell us they value about us happens after the invoice is paid.

Where we work

Close enough to come back. That matters more in this line of work than people expect, because a smart home is never finished on the day it is installed.

What we carry over from business work

The reason our homes are built differently from most.

  • We treat a house like a network Segmented, surveyed and documented, because that is how you stop thirty cheap devices becoming thirty cheap problems.
  • We write things down Scope, quote, schedule and as-built documentation. Standard in commercial work, oddly rare in residential.
  • We plan for failure What happens when the internet drops, a device dies, or you move house. Answered before it happens, not after.
  • We build software when it is missing If your system needs a piece that does not exist yet, we can write it rather than tell you it cannot be done.

Come and meet the system

The easiest way to work out whether we are the right people is twenty minutes at your kitchen table with the demo running.
